Auction on eBay.

I believe the seller is wrong and this is refinished. I may be wrong, did Fender ever make it in black?

According to Gruhn's Guide to Vintage Guitars, white or black finishes were available around 1976 (the Champ was discontinued around 1981). It certainly appears likely that this is a Fender Champ from the 1970s based on the black tolex case and black finish.
