At HSGA Joliet 2005 I picked up a magazine called "Music", the June 1948 edition. "Music" was a bi-monthly magazine that was published by the Oahu company of Cleveland, Ohio.

I worked with graphic designer Amy Pace to create a webpage showcasing the ads from the magazine. You'll see cool retro ads from Gibson, Fender, Rickenbacker, Valco etc.

The June 1948 edition also contained a very provacative glamour shot of Dorothy Lamour sending out a hello to all the steel guitarists. It was no secret in Hollywood that Dorothy was a big fan of the slide.

I want that bar that lets you play major and minor chords without slanting!

The major/minor bar.

What happens when you are way up past the 12th fret? The bar's fixed positioning will be over the wrong fret. Damn, another magic-feather bites the dust.
