Operation is pretty much identical. The Transtubefex uses transistor tube emulation.

The same cache card will works with both or the Profex2, Bassfex, Session 2000 and Transfex Pro amps.

The Tubefex actually has a tube in the circuit where the Transtube Fex has our patented Transtube technology, ie; tube similation through transistor technology. I always leaned towards the Transtube Fex over the Tubefex for some reason. I just prefer its sound.
