I recently purchased a used Walker Stereo Steel Combo on consignment at my local music store. I couldn't believe it as they never have anything for the psg player!! Does anybody know of how to get in touch with Gerry for questions about servicing? I have tried the emails on his website as well as a different AOL address I found on Carters website. Neither seem to be working. I would like to get a manual or schematic if available. Each of my outputs are giving me different tones. One seems to be "normal sounding", and the other seems like the highs are being cut out. This wouldn't be normal, would it? I know it isn't the speakers. Any help you guys might have would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and by the way, this thing sounds amazing!! I had been using just a Peavey classic 50 with two 12s. I am having a blast playing this new amp. Thanks guys.

Gerry's e-mail is gdwalker@mei.ws (I think) and his phone number is 619-460-5008.

Thanks Jim for your quick reply. That email doesn't seem to get a response. Perhaps he's been too busy to respond. I don't know, but I think I'll try the phone number.

Josh,

GD Walker will take care of you. It is a great amp. I play one often especially outdoors, rodeos, etc.

It is a stereo steel amp. Left and right can be made to sound different.
You did not mention the speakers you are using. Does it have an efx unit with it?

Hey Ron!
The amp came with a digitech tsr-12, and two 15" black widow cabs. It was said that this of this came straight from GD Walker. The tone difference happens with or without the effects. I know the effects is working fine, although, I recently bought a T.C. Electronics M350 which I like alot better so far. I bought mainly for ease of use because it has actual knobs on the front which I can tweak instead of parameters to page through on the digitechs display. I also can tell you the tone difference problem happens with any speakers. The unit had a smoke odor to it, so who knows where its been. I just want to get the thing in perfect working order. What cabs are you using with yours Ron?

Hi Josh, I use a Digitec g7 with my stereo steel and I think it's the best amp around. I'm using a pair of 12" Peavey speakers because I don't want to carry around the big boys. If I'm playing in a big place or outdoors I use this amp for sure. Larry

You've got a great amp there and Gerry will take care of you!! If he can't fix it over the phone, he'll probably have you ship it to him and when you get it back, it'll be good as new!!
