For Sale: 1970's Vintage MARLEN SD-10 3 pedal 5 knee lever (5th vertical knee installed later by Leonard Stadler). Standard Emmons set up. According to the guy I bought it from he lived by Stadler and he maintained this guitar for him. It is in great shape. Left knees raise & lower 4 & 8, Left Vertical Knee raises strings 1 & 2. Right knee inner drops 5 & 10, Right knee outer lowers 2 & 6.There are a couple of double stops.
Comes with factory MARLEN VOLUME PEDAL which works great. Case is also in good shape. Cosmetically & mechanically this guitar is in good shape. I was informed by a Marlen player that back then they used the same frame for an SD as a Double including the same end plates with the punch out. Changer does have the nylon tuners. Comes with tuning wrench also and I will throw in a 7/8" Ernie Ball steel bar. Will accept Paypal, but add 3% to selling price to cover their fee. Also accept money order, & personal check.
Revised Note: I had this guitar listed as a lot older (1965) because that is what I was told it was, but good forum members have let me know certain things about this guitar, being I have never owned a Marlen before. #1 Serial number is #429791, So I was told in dating the guitar you read the SN.# backwards, making it a 1979 guitar. #2 Also it is an all-pull changer and has the newer type bell cranks. If you can't tell in the photo, it is a triple raise-double lower. Also the pickup is a custom double row pickup and was probably custom ordered. It does sound great.
