Back in the 70s E.H. had a batt. powered Freedom amp that sounded pretty good and was powerful, used 40 C or D batts.!! I got the A.C. adaptor and played it for a while but the wires inside broke connections and I never fixed it. My question is = E.H. has come out with a new Freedom amp with batt. pack & charger. Has any one tried it and what is your general opinion for a practice amp or small club gigs ?? I'm looking for a real light weight but playable amp. Anybody ??? Eddie "C"

I just sold my freedom amp and I already regret it. They are great little amps. Super light weight, wood cabinet looks great, and they sound fantastic. They are surprisingly loud for such a small amp. I have used it on small coffee house type gigs without any problems. The amp has a great clean tone and takes pedals really well if you want some overdrive. They are also cheap for such a nice quality amp.
