Here is a truely great piece of history for sale and I hate to see it go ,but I need the money for other things besides playing music right now. This is an early 70's emmons push pull D-10 steel guitar serial #1798 for sale. This guitar came from Lynn Owsley , the steel guitar ledgend , and one of Ernest Tubbs' Texas Troubadours .I know Lynn could tell the history on this guitar as he has quite a collection of old and famous guitars. It has been completely gone through and serviced , lubed and adjusted perfectly and plays perfect. It has also had the pedal bar and endplates professionally buffed and has new emmons chrome fretboards .It has the original single coil pickups wound around 17.5 ohms. The guitar has the standard emmons setup and the E strings changes are on the left leg.E-F LKL, E-E flat LKR, RKL raises 1st to G# and lowers the 6th string to F#, the RKR lowers the second string a half and whole tone and lowers the 9th to c#.Standard setup on the c6th neck. This guitar is all original , and sounds like the best push pull in the world.Lots of sustain and emmons tone.It also has the original kluson tuning keys .This guitar is the satin rosewood mica finish and fat back apron design. One of the best designs in my opinion. Please feel free to ask and questions. The photos are a little dark from the cloudy weather today.Don't let this one get away.$3000 plus shipping and paypal fees or come by and look and play it in person and save the shipping charge.Case is included .Thanks George King gwkrjk2000@hotmail.com Email for phone number...

George, great looking Emmons P/P with a great price too!
I just bought a 1969 P/P or I'd jump on it in a New York Minute. Your S/N 1798 suggests that it was made in 1973 according to the Emmons list of Serial Numbers that I have.
I'll bet you won't have it long at that price! |

Roger, out of all the steels I've owned , this one probable is the hardest one I've had to let go of.It is a very special guitar but my financial situation right now calls for me to cut back.No rain this summer and 15 bushell per acre soybeans this fall have put the hurt on this ole boy...Thanks Geo |
