Some time back, someone reported on the acquisition of an olde album "JAZZ from the HILLS"......with Atkins, Byrd, Burns, Haynes and Potter.
They listed all of the tunes and after some careful deliberations....I searched out my single 78's of the tunes that made up that album. There was an extra tune that the FORUMITE had listed that I never managed to find on a single......
NOW, I can't recall who the poster was nor the name of that "tune".
Can anyone help me out of this dilema or must I call Dr. Laura Schleisinger? |

YES indeed!
The Forum once again has come thro' for the olde timer.
A fellow Forumite was kind enough to put me on the right track for my question. A prompt reply; reliable information, what more could one desire.
THANKS! |

Ray. Do you have any of the radio shows that Atkins and Byrd did together called "Two Guitars"?? This was on WSM probably in the very early 50s.
I ran across a fellow on one of the Atkins forums that has a bunch of cuts from the show that featured Atkins playing alone but he was not into the duos with Atkins and Byrd so he did not have any of the two of them. He got his from a fellow who used to tape them off the radio as they were broadcast.
Sure would like to hear a sample of these. |

Bill.........thanks for the info'.
Any chance you have the email address for the 'listener'?
Where could one find that particular site?
NO! I have none of the TWO GUITAR Shows. It's so sad that so much of that irreplaceable music has been lost to time.
Any help you can provide will be appreciated. |
