I caught the Dale Watson show here in Green Bay, WI at the Casino and was impressed with the show. Dale put on a great show and he has a really tight band with Don Pawlak on Steel...Great sounding and I never saw Dale before and he is very good and a very good lead guitarist also....He has a unique looking Tele which I never saw one like it but it was a great sounding axe....

IMO you just saw the BEST honky tonk singer in the business[also a great tele picker],It's rare to see him on tv or hear him on FM radio,He is light years ahead of this candy-a--ed top twenty ^%$# you see and hear today it scares them to death. _________________ Hard headed, opinionated old geezer. Right on Charles. They're scared because he's the real thing and not manufactured. A true country music singer/songwriter. |

I saw Dale Watson a year ago in germany.
It was one great show with James Hand.
A super band and everyone has a good time.
That's country at it's best.

I heared that Dale is (once again) coming to the Netherlands. He has many fans here so we look forward to this event although I understand that there is a very basic accompaniement .
No steelguitarist, just Dale, drums and bass.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
One of our band members is journalist in his paid life and he has an appointment with Dale for an interview.
This man considers himself very lucky to be able to meet this country icon. Hope to be there too.

I have seen Dale about a dozen times and have had the extreme honor to have sat in with him. He is
a gentleman and the depth of his respect for his
music and traditions is evident.
I was in Northern Ireland this past week. I walked in a pub with a Dale t-shirt on, and immediately a
man jumped up and grabbed me and said "Oh, we love
Del Wootsun". So the people who are in the know
get it. It's the clueless radio programmers who have
their heads up their butts. |

Hey Bill; Dale's guitar is Australian made by Allen Tompkins....so it's a Tompkins guitar and 50% lighter than a Tele and plays and sounds as good as anything I've heard.
All the coins on Dale's guitar; are from around the world that we collected back when I toured with him; and one night he was very very bored and glued them on there...ha..it's a show-piece now for sure. _________________ Ricky Davis

I've seen Dale's show with and without steel. Either way, you won't be disappointed, although we certainly have our preference. _________________ HagFan

Dale is the best, When he comes to New York, he rips the place up, He is the easiest guy to turn non country people on to country music, I have made many converts from just playing his stuff. _________________ Regards, Craig

Here is a picture of Dale playing 'Workingman Blues'last March with my friend Glenn Alexander. Glenn has been playing with the Mahavishnu Project and has just finished a CD with Southside Johnny doing covers of Tom Waites songs, Tom sings on a few and this soon to be released record is going to be great.
