National Comet or Supro /Oahu Supreme

After months of dreaming I have narrowed it down to either one of these, I like the though the sting pick up, it should give me the sound I want, although I have never tried one, if anyone in the UK has one of these I would love to know,

Kevin, I'm not in the UK but my 2nd or was it my 3rd wife came from there.
You couldn't make a better choice for a vintage lap steel. They can be found on eBay for anywhere from $80 to $300. I have several of them and they are the coolest. The string-through pickup is what makes the difference. 2 coils, 2 magnets and a top plate create a magnetic field that the strings pass through.
