Hey everyone,
Bill Asher just finished the first round of the Asher Ben Harper Series II and I received mine in the mail today. I've posted some pics:

I'm amazed at the craftsmanship and tone of this guitar. I never knew a lap steel could have so much juice! The humbuckers really kick. It is such an inspiring instrument to play. Just like Brad's post about his new Bear Creek MK, I'll have to get used to the smaller string spacing compared to my Superior.

I know it's been said many times here before, but I want to say how much I enjoyed dealing with Bill and Jessica Asher. They were absolutely amazing! Their service, as well as their guitars, are at the top of my list. I plan on getting a few guitars from them.

Blessings,
Justin

Nice axe, Justin! Very happy for you, but mostly green with envy. But all is not lost, I may be one of the lucky ones to give it a test drive when you get back...right??

The first time I saw these on Bill's website, I pretty much declared it the most beautiful lap steel I have ever seen.

I had to wipe the drool away.

But I think we're talkin' ballpark $3,000 here.

That's some serious scratch.

Congratulations Justin! That's a beauty, and you're right about Bill and Jessica,- they're exceptional people to deal with.

I have a custom Electro Hawaiian and love it, but I sure wouldn't mind owning one of these new "Les Paul" style models as well. Unfortunately, $2,800 puts them a bit out of my reach at the moment.......

(let's hope Gibson don't find something to go after them for, as they've done with others.....)

WOW!!!

Beautiful guitar and I bet it sounds incredible. I own a Ben Harper model and can attest that Bill builds a wonderful guitar.

Has anyone had any experience with or has heard the Dual Tone by Asher?

Problem with these is that you have to be very successful as a player or have a hefty salary and no time to play to afford one. Pricey stuff.

Thanks for the positive comments guys! I really appreciate everyone's input. You all are great!
Unfortunately, I'm not a highly successful player nor do I have a nice income. I'm just a graduate student (who makes below the poverty line!) with a piggy bank and a love for Asher's lap steel guitars.

Have a great Halloween!

Blessings,
Justin
