Just wanted to jump in here and say THANK YOU to Scotty,Bobby, Roy,Jimmy,Ben,Rick and everyone that had anything to do with it,including some of the players, for making me the "NEW GUY" in the staff band. WOW!!! What an honor for me. Very Happy I will do my very best for you. THANK YOU.
Dallas will always be my "HOME" show [about 15 years worth] But, I am still very proud that other shows will have me...i.e. Mesa,Tulsa, Blountstown,Fla.,and now St Louis. WOW!!! Such a deal for an OLD farm boy.
Thanks everyone.

Hello Paul,

I admired your playing on main stage but I must admit that you blew me away in the Jazz Room.

Along with Bob Deboo and Jim Stahlhut, you were swinging big time behind Doug Jernigan.

Regards

Bob

Paul,

Great playing. Caught you in the Jazz room as well as on the stage. Your enthusiasm was obvious. You looked like there was no place on Earth you'd rather be.

Paul, as always, it's a pleasure to work with you. I get to do it many times through out the year and I'm always looking forward to the next time. Like Bobby said, you did a great job at the ISGC this year and I feel I can speak for all of us in the staff band "welcome aboard, we're glad to have you".
Now as for that comment Bobby made about your having to "sit so close to me", heck we'll just let you decide what side of the stage you want to sit on Wink ha...ha Smile. Take care my friend. Barbara sends her love to you and Dee and we'll see yall soon.

Roy and Bobby,
Thanks for the "Welcome Aboard".
Using the famous words of Minnie Pearl -- "I'm so proud to be here".
I think I'll stay on the side I was on,pretty comfortable there. The only problem is that my 'crash' cymbal is right at EAR level of Ben and/or Rick. Sad Sorry!!
Speaking of those two guys..What GREAT Bass Players they are. Both of them. Sure made my job easier. Cool

Hugs back to Ms. Barbara and Ms. Linda..

Ron, If ya can't have fun doin' it --DON'T DO IT !!!
And I do. Very Happy Very Happy I'm glad it's obvious. Smile
Take Care,
Paul

It is my pleasure to welcome you as the newest staff band member of the International Steel Guitar Convention! Being raised on a farm we both have come a long way since we used to feed the hogs and gather the eggs. I've traded pickin' cotton for the steel guitar and you have traded hoeing corn for drum sticks. I'll see you next year in Dallas, Mesa, AND ST. LOUIS! Scotty

Just wanted to throw this into the pile Paul !!!

As usual, you did "ANUDDER GREAT JOB" !!

No matter where it is, ole Paul does any show, professionally.

It was good to see you and Ms. Dee in St. Louis. Look forward to seeing you on down the road in the future.

On any those Florida trips, just take a quick jog up to beautiful downtown Agricola, Ms, and kick your heels up under the shade tree with me.

Keep up the good work Paul !!!

Thanks to all for the very kind words.

Scotty, there were "cultivators" when "I" was a kid.HA!!! Just teasin' you "SIR"!!!!! However, I did throw an awful lot of hay bales as a kid. See you soon, I hope!!!HA!!

Jimmy - It was my pleasure and honor sharing the stage with you, sir. You are a great musician/entertainer. Hug Ms. Starla for us. See you next year if not sooner.

Larry Schoppe - always a pleasure seeing you my friend. I hope to get to pick with you sometime in the near future. Love your bass playin'.

Red-- Back to ya my friend. Looking forward to the next time our paths cross.- Mesa, I think??

Ben-- Nice suprise seeing you in St Louis. It's gettin' really hard to get your &$# out of Agricola,Ms these days. See ya buddy....

Mike - It's real easy to have a good time when the good Lord gave me the opportunity to pick with all of the TOP NOTCH talent [my idols] that he has. My blessings are many and I am extremely thankful. So, I can do nothing but have a good time, and I truly hope it shows.
It looks like Roy and I are really studying the charts- must have been a hard tune!!!!

There are two people I have neglected to thank for allowing me to share the stage with, and they would be Mr. Leonard T. Zinn and Mr. David Russell. LT you are a "HOOT" lets hope for many more shows together.
David- Folks, if you think I have fun doing these shows, just watch David. HA!! This man "IS" fun.
Great fiddlin' and a great personality.Looking forward to the next one.

Thanks Paul
