I thought I'd follow John Cox' lead and set up a poll that we could vote with.....so, let's see what your favorite amp to play through is! Please ignore the nitty gritty details in answering (i.e. specific speakers, mod kits, etc.). Just tryin' to keep things simple.

Very Happy

I've actually been using a Fender Pro Jr. lately with my GFI! The band I play with is not very loud for a rock band and I like just a smidge of breakup with the volume pedal wide open.

How do you connect things to make a Fender Pro a ‘slave’ to a N–112? With my (2) N–112's, I run a cord from the Pre~Amp. OUT of Amp. #1 to the Power~Amp. IN of Amp. #2 and I call that #2 Amp. a “Slave”! Are you running N–112 Lo~Gain (#2)-Input to Fender Pro High~Gain (#1)-Input? I guess one of us is using the wrong term to describe their hook-up! Possibly my way should be called a Powered~Extention Unit! (???) Somebody please advise!

The Peavey Solid State-other I voted is the vintage LTD 400, after the Ken Fox mod; great sound. With my unmodded N-112 a close second...... Cool

John B.
I come out of the back of the NV112 (power amp out) and into the #2 input of the Vibrato channel on the Fender Pro (it also works with the 65' Fender Twin Reverb). That is what Mike Brown told me when I asked him how to hook it up, and it works great.

Geo; I would expect a bit of a hum by running from one Pre~Amp. into another!

John, connecting the output of one preamp to another preamp won't necessarily cause a hum, but it will most likely increase the noise level.

So I count 49% playing through a Peavey solid state amp, with the NV112 leading that pack, followed by the NV400. And 16% play through a Fender Twin family tube amp.

I checked "Fender - Other" since my #2 is a tie between a '69 Pro Reverb and BF Vibroverb.

But my #1 is a Holland Little Jimi.

How do you gents rate Peavey's Stereo Chorus 400, with 2 - 12" speakers? I'd say,by involving both channels on one line, with a "Y" jack, the 300 watts will get your attention. Don't spare the excellent reverb! The technique will improve sustaining qualities.
