I've been listening to Emmons version of Jimmy Day's "Blue Wind" off of "Four Wheel Drive".
Can anyone tell where to find Day's original version? |

I have heard both versions of "Blue Wind" and I definitely prefer Buddy's recording.

The cassette has 22 cuts, one with Jimmy playing with Elvis on the Louisiana Hayride,This tape is raw sounding not slick at all.Hence the title For Jimmy Day FANS ONLY.But interesting. _________________ Hard headed, opinionated old geezer. If my memory serves me right, and at my age it often doesn't, Jimmy played electric bass on Buddy's "Four Wheel Drive" and Blue Wind". Great stuff at a time when the creative juices were really flowing. Bobby |
