I hate to sell this, but it has to go due to financial problems. The guitar was built for David Kalish (Rickie Lee Jones) in 2003 and I bought it from him in 2004.
It features two custom wound P-90 pickups (with switch for humbucking/singlecoil mode) plus an undersaddle piezo pickup with separate output.
It has the standard 8 sound chambers of the Electro Hawaiian, and one of the most stunningly beautiful flamed Koa tops I've ever seen.
I have a 'certificate' from Bill Asher valuing this specific guitar at $3000 with a 5% increase in value per year, I am asking $2000 for it. The price is not negotiable, but I'll help split the shipping - I would guess the shipping with regular postal service from Norway to the US would amount to approx $150, perhaps close to $200. It comes with a solid hardshell case and I'll pack it securely.
I hope it finds a good home, I've really bonded with this guitar and it's with a heavy heart I let it go - it's all over my "Southern Moon Northern Lights" CD, and two of my recordings with it are used as demos on Ashers website.
Here's a pic - for more info and pics please email me at "steinar AT gregertsen DOT com" (or go to the contact page on my website, it's all there).

Steiner,
Reading your ad here (in the S.W.O.P. section), I cruised on to your myspace and surfed around it while listening to your tracks there again. I thought I recognized the gorgeous throaty tone on God Only Knows and Radio Poet as that of your Asher Electro Hawaiian. Then I wound up back here and thus went to Bill's site to see what those AEH soundfiles you referenced are; And sure 'nuff it was God and Radio. What heavenly and distinct tones. Certainly meriting coming back here and posting some links so folks can access those sounds easy!
I don't know what kind of financial pressures you're under there, but those soundfiles' music is echoing back to ya in my petitions to the Good in the cosmos. I know it must be difficult having to part with such a Lover; But for what my 2 cents are worth, remember all the rough spots in the road that got you to fine personal and musical places; The cosmos ain't shy about presenting it's bills!
When I have to part with a dear Friend, it helps (me anyway) to suppose that Good will be carried farther by the Friend and / or Farewell. And I'll bet that crosses the minds of more than a few folks looking here at such a fine instrument, it's current caretaker, and boths' mana. Folks that have the bucks are staring non-monetary fortune in the face .....imho. _________________ Aloha,

Hi Steinar,
Man, sorry you had to sell that beauty. If you have another Tele body around, I can send you a RedNeck on "loan" if you need it. Two P-90s would sound super if you can build it up yourself. |

Don - I've copied and PM'd you the email.
Loni - thanks a lot for your generous offer, I really appreciate it! It feels a bit weird to only have one electric lap steel, no matter how good my Lap King Rodeo is, so I might take you up on that later.
Denny - thanks!
