Once again I would like to invite everyone to St. Louis for the "Super Bowl" of steel guitar shows. What great talent "Scotty" and his family are going to bring to you. I am so proud to be a small part of the show . Please come and say HI to all of the players and don't be shy about talking to your favorite player. They want to talk to you. I can't wait to see you all. Please stop me and say "HI". I love it. Please stop by my booth and say "HI" to my bride Linda. My best to all, Bobby |

Bobby, you are one of the highlights of the Convention every year. I always look forward to working with you as it is an honor to be on the same stage. As I always say, you have pulled me through for 29 straight years and this will be the 30th without missing one. You are the greatest!

Bobby, If you were not present, a great link in the chain would be missing. Your presence, leadership, and playing make a world of difference for every other musician who appears on stage. Every one of them are thankful for your contributions, me especially. _________________ Ray Harrison

Bobby,
Thanks to Scotty's kind invitation, I'll be at the ISGC this year - first time for 5 years, due to one thing or another (my own stupidity, mainly! ). I can't wait to see you all again. I'm so hoping you'll play on my set on Saturday night. I'm just putting my set together and I'll send the charts to Scotty.
I look forward to seeing you very soon!

How great to have my dear friend and talented Gerry Hogan at the ISGC once again. It's been along time between times and I know you will be happy to welcome Gerry to St. Louis once again. I can't wait to see my dear freind and hug his neck. We have had so many good time on stage I can't tell you. This is really going to be a fun year. Don't miss a minute of it. I guess by now you know I am as big a fan as anybody. I love it!!!!!!. So long for now, Bobby |

Hey, I just saw the schedule for the ISGC and our friend Bud Isaacs is on the show. What treat to hear the man who started the pedals live and in person. With his lovely wife Geri, they will knock your socks off. I can't wait. What a great time this is going to be. Bobby |

I love hearing the steel guitar at these conventions, but being somewhat of a guitar and bass player like most steel players, I enjoy the other musicians about as much. I have been a big fan of Bobby's since I went to my first convention in 1974. I have heard lots of guitar players, but I have never heard one that is more versatile. No matter what style of music is being played, he falls right in the groove, and knows just what to play and when to play it. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

August has finally arrived, didn't think it would ever get here. Now down to days but who's counting. This is still as exciting as the first time we went to the convention in 1989. I think that Caldwell kid might finally turn out after all these years of hanging around the convention! Ha!, you're one of the best Bobby. And I get to see some of my heroes, like Herby, Ron, Buddy, Paul, Doug, John, Al and the list goes on. Subdued, anticipating, excitment indeed. |

How I missed seeing this post sooner is a mystery to me. I'm in total agreement with Bobby, the ISGC in St. Louis is the "superbowl" of steel shows. For the past twenty years this old piano player has had the pleasure of working along side of Bobby, at the ISGC and various other shows around this good old U.S.A. and I will agree with my buddy and close friend, Mike Brown, of Peavey fame, that Bobby is the "BEST". Looking forward to doing it again this year (won't be long now) and as always I hope to see and talk with many of my friends at this great show.

I just got to thinking, which is not a good thing sometimes, but this year will be 36 years plus that Scotty has be putting on Steel Guitar Shows. If you see him running around the show, grab his hand and say thanks Scotty for all you have done for the Steel Guitar. He is one of a kind. Where would we be without Scotty. Loveya my friend and thanks. Bobby |

Bobby separates the men from the boys on guitar and I can't tell you what a LARGE time Laney and I had at the Farrell's surprise birthday party for Bobby last month. And I love that new DeAngelico, what a beautiful guitar. And I'm also very, very excited that Gerry Hogan is coming from England this year, what a great player and super person. It just seems to me that once again Scotty's Convention is going to be the best one yet.
We'll see you soon, MISTER Caldwell,

A few years ago I was on my way from Ohio to Table Rock Lake for a few days of fishing, when I stopped at a gas station in Missouri. While standing there at the pumps I was surprised to see Bobby Caldwell standing there also.
I walked over to where Bobby was standing, introduced myself, and told him that I'd seen him many times at the ISGC. We had a nice conversation that day and it was easy to tell that Bobby is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet!
Great guitar player too!
I am looking forward to seeing Bobby and many other great friends in St. Louis. _________________ Tony Rankin |

Stu, for what it is worth you are on my "A" list and I know a lot of others feel the same. I have decided that some of us are on the outside looking in and others are on the inside looking out and it will just always be that way. I am appreciative of any of the shows that see fit to invite me to play. You are truly one of the great players and most importantly a great guy so I guess one way to look at it is that we can stay home and play the good jobs others leave behind to go the SL.
