A fabulous article. Thanks for the link, Mike.

And isn't it interesting that it has taken the White Stripes to revive the careers of two of the biggest names in country music...

Porter usually gets down here in January for fishing (Lake Panasoffkee, Fl). The guy that owns the place where I pick in Lake Panasoffkee, and where we hold our Florida Steel Guitar club jams, has taken Porter out fishing many times.

I'll be in Alton, MO next month and will be going through West Plains on the way to Alton from Kansas City. If I remember right there is a street in West Plains that's named for Porter.

Dea in California many moons ago. And,that must mean " Gary " gets to pick a little with Marty Stuart too! Two Great people to work with,I Know. My back round in Country Music is BIGGER than my name. thanks for the info on Gary..... Leo J.Eiffert,Jr. & Pigeons
