This is a song I first heard Jack Greene do but it's a good steel song too. It's the first song recorded on my Yamaha AW-2400 workstation after upgrading from the AW-1600. The Boss drums were recorded as 4 inputs with the snare and bass drum on their own channels. All other instruments are real. The Fender Steel King was mic'ed with a Shure SM-57, no compression or EQ other than the amp settings.
Hear it!

Greg, It sounds fantastic!! Also, I really enjoy all your tabs and the work that goes into them. I chart for my band a lot, but nothing near the work that goes into your tabs. Many thanks. |

Great stuff, Greg. The drums don't sound too canned. And of course that Legend and Steel King sound great together. Is that a uni, or are you switching necks on a D10? |

Thanks Jim and Lee. Video is now in and I just got the audio stuff figured out so I'm just a few decades out of date!
Dave, the drums are programmed step by step on a Boss DR-880. I used separate reverb on the snare. I kept the Toms in stereo so I could pan them left to right. I switched back and forth on the E9/C6 necks for this tune. The guitar part was played on a G&L ASAT special, if you listen close you can hear the blueburst color coming through.

Here's the same setup with the drums mixed in as only two channels, a lot flatter sound. Also it was mixed on the AW-1600 and the overall tone is a little different. Thanks for listening!
