A question for those that have multiple(>3)left knee levers:
If you want to use two levers at the same time what is the best config?
I use LV with LL or LR but was wondering
if there was a better or more convenient setup to do this.
I've never sat at an instrument w more than
3 left levers so I don't know if people use
their additional levers at the same time. |

Most common configurations have 3 levers on the left knee.
I have used the LKL and the LKV at the same time it just takes some time to work in the coordination as you probably won't have it the first few times you attempt it.
Try this for example:
same grip , 4 moves in sustain
fret 1
8,6 and 5 , with B ped and E lower
release E lower to natural
add E raise
release B pedal, Add LKV and slide up to Fret 2...
E Raise is still IN.
Then as you get brave, reveres the entire phrase.
this comes from Buddy playing Rose Colored Glasses
And yes you can eliminate the Bb lever move by staying at fret 1 and changing the grip to 7,6 and 5 with the B Pedal, but it is NOT the same feel at all. |

I was thinking of copedants I saw with
more than 3 levers such as LL LL1 and Lr Lr1
Are those extras sometimes used together
or just seperately? |

Ron; That again would depend on what the changes are! The more changes you have, the harder it is to manipulate all the combinations. More isn't always better! _________________ <marquee> Go~Daddy~Go, (No), Go, It's your Break Time</marquee> L8R, jb

I believe those configs came as a result of the late great Jimmy Crawford. The Crawford Cluster.
Staggered levers for the same knee. It is my understanding and have been told by those that had staggered levers that they may have 1 lever for a very specific phrase and it is NOT common to the pack.
A guitar with an extra lick so to speak. |
