I have one. They're a bit too lightweight to get really good sustain, but they have this 'groove' that makes your lap steel sound "sitarish" when you play with the 'groove' against the strings. You can hear that effect on the solo in my version of God Only Knows. Cool effect, and as Andy says; They're pretty!

Thanks Billy,- it's my Asher Electro Hawaiian on both the main melody and the "sitar" part.

Richard-- just now A/B/Ced my Slipperyslide with a Black Phoenix and a Boyett's leaded glass bar. It has far less volume and sustain than the other two, and is also much mellower. I'd use it for a slow, hushed kinda tune. It has a flat, 1/4" wide vertical strip planed down one side, you just rotate the bar until this area contacts the string if you want the "sitar" effect.

Definitely a "specialty" bar. --Steve
