I just watched this concert fom BJ Thomas and I think I recognised Flying Burrito Bros and Willie Nelson bass player Chris Ethridge.
Can anyone confirm this?

Also the piano player looks similar to the one who played on the St. Louis conventions (can't remember his name.)

I can sort of see the resemblance, but since the Opry typically uses a house band when the guest is an individual singer, I would doubt right off that was Chris Ethridge.

I'm pretty sure that's B.J.s band at the time, with possibly a ringer or two, plus the staff Carol Lee Singers. Not Chris Ethridge though.

I agree: not my old LA buddy, Chris Ethridge--may he rest in peace.

Good to see his name come up, though.
