Okay, have I got this straight? My pots read 140218.
Twenty first week of 1948 would make sense for this instrument. Right?

Both pots also say CMI11546. Which doesn't mean much to me.

140 is the manufacturer code for Clarostat.

Since this is a 6-digit code, the general format is that the 4th digit is the last digit of the year between the late 40s and about 1959, and then the 5th and 6th digit is the week (numbered out of 52). By this algorithm, this would indicate 18th week of 1952.
