Cindy Cashdollar did the steel music and Willie Nelson narrated this beautifully produced NPR piece about under-the-radar food in Texas.

Cindy Cashdollar and Willie Nelson were perfect choices for this program. Great playing Cindy!

The Kitchen Sisters do wonderful work. They were a major inspiration for the Voices of Florida radio series I produced for the Florida Folklife Program. I had the pleasure of meeting Davia Nelson in Memphis, then again in Berkley. The Sisters have drawn frequently from the Arhoolie catalog over the years for music for their radio programs

A bit of trivia: Alan Governor,co-producer of the Sacred Steel video and his wife, Kaleta Doolin (she talks about her dad inventing Fritos) served as a production assistant. Great folks.

Hidden Kitchens is a wonderful series.

Thanks for the heads-up, Andy.

Best,

Bob
