Some of us collect steel guitars (I have only four __ one a pedal steel). But, we all have a favorite of the collection and we play it most.

My favorite of all steel guitars ever made is my Fender Dual Eight Professional and I play it most of the time. It's completely restored to "better than new".

What is your favorite of all steel guitars ever made, whether you own one or not?

Many thanks, Mr. Clean

Any flavor of Rickenbacker Bakelite. Although I wish they made them in long scale.

Each guitar seems to have it's own personality and tone, and some days when you play one you haven't played for awhile, it sounds just right.

Of about ten guitars I have, I use two Fender Champs. One's tuned in A Major, the other in C6th. Comfortable to play, good sound and not boatanchors for this 68 year old guy to tote along!!!! I like my Console Grande, but it remains anchored down here in my music room, plugged into one of three tube amps just like the 50's. Geo

Maybe because it's my only 8 string, but my fav is my Fender T8. Of my 4 6-stingers, I'd say my old Ricky is the one.

Hey Kevin that's a mighty clean Rickenbacker you've got there. What year is it?

I'm a 'vintage guy' with a modest collection of Vintage Steels, mostly 6 string laps. My fav is still a pristine 50's Fender Stringmaster (blondie). I just acquired a very clean Magnatone Lyric 8-string double, I'm determined to learn to play (for my own enjoyment, ha!) I've also got 2 Oahu's, a Harmony, a Silvertone (like I learned on 50+ years ago),a great hand made Koa wood 6 lap, I bought on Maui and a couple of no-namers. Recently sold my JB Frypan and a double-neck National Grand Console, and the beat goes on. Any luck at all I'll try to post couple pix here see how that goes? Dan Smile

I love my 55 National t8 The 23” scale is to my liking, and the tone is great IMHO. I changed the amphenol to a standard !/4” plug, so it fits right in with everything else I have

Chris Kennison's Bakelite Rickenbacker. There's just something about that guitar that feels right on my lap.
Other then that, I'll go with my National New Yorker for now.
