I'm very proud to announce that our own Roy Thomson was inducted into the Atlantic Steel Guitar Club Hall of Fame this week. He's one of the most gifted and talented steel players I've ever known and through his talent has helped to teach steel guitar to so many. He's a great guy and I'm very proud to call him my friend. Congratulations Roy!

My heart felt thanks to all and especially the Atlantic Steel Guitar Club for seeing fit to present me with this honor.

In the way of information The Club membership is open,,, but the active
area encompasses the four Atlantic Provinces on Canada's east coast: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.

In the pic above pictured with me is President Keith Delong, Dartmouth, N.S., Lew Jenkins, Fredericton, N.B. (with the Emmons Push Pull) and Mervin Maxwell, Bedford, N.S.

Keoki: Keith was commenting to me the other day how on much he enjoys his visits with you
when he is on family visits out your way.

In closing, The Atlantic Steel Club is playing a big role in promoting both pedal and non pedal steel guitar in our part of
Canada. It deserves and is receiving great
recognition in that respect.

Incidently, I noted on Sunday the increase in the number of non pedal guitars at the jam which is indicative of a resurgence not only here but throughout our steel guitar world.

Best Regards and Thanks again to all.

Roy

Congratulations Roy,

You certainly deserve this award, not only for your playing ability, but also for all your contributions to the steel guitar industry...such as teaching, promotion, & instructional material, assistance, etc.

We hope you have many more years of great steel playing!
Best Wishes,
Al Brisco

Hi Roy...I kinda figured that was my old pal Keith whose face is hidden by the mic.

It's strictly my humble opinion, (and I know this might inflate your ego), but I consider you to be the BEST steel guitarist in all of Canada, bar none. Your tone, expression, technic is absolutely superb! And now my "spies" tell me you can even play like Chet Atkins on regular guitar ! Wow ! I'm truly impressed.
