Got the wiring diagram, thanks Rick!!! and got the guitar working. Now I need the volume and tone knobs. Anyone got 'em? I would think they should be the dark ones, as this is a panda.

Radio Shack has a selection of knobs. I picked up 1" black knobs with an alluminum disk on the top that go perfectly with my 1935-36 National Hawaiian. Although the body and neck are black, the palm rest is chrome plated, so the knbs look original.

I have a few Ricky knobs that are identical to the ORIGINALS except one size larger. They have the dark, dark brown finish with the dominate yellow arrow engraved in them.
A lot of folks might not ever notice the difference in size. These are different from the Panda knobs.

I've got two I could let you have.

Now, the original sized knobs identical to these, have a base diameter of slightly over one inch.

Now these two measured at the same point are
one and one half inches in diameter.

Visually, they are identically. I've been searching now for several years and have never seen "any" that match the early Bakelite knobs. THESE DO..........

$7.50 per knob; two for $15.00; plus postage and handling........probably less than $2.00.
Let me know.

The round black knobs with the white arrows on top are also found on old radio equipment and are very common. These things show up on Ebay all the time, usually in lots mixed in with other knobs. Just search "Radio Knobs" and start looking. Email the sellers for the base measurments because they come in all different sizes but look the same. If you don't want to buy the whole lot, email the winner of the auction and let him know which ones you are looking at and more than likely you will be able to get them for a couple of bucks. I have bought many of these knobs this way and they are exactly the same as the originals. The octagonal and flying saucer knobs are a different story as it appears they were ONLY used by Rickenbacher on their guitars.
