Where can I find some of those little ball end looking little deals that screw into your pedal and hook into your pedal rod,I broke one. actually I didn't break it ,someone came up to request a song and steped on the A pedal and snap, it was no longer. I need a fence around my steel I think. That the first time thats happened in many years of playing. And by the way does anyone know what they are called?(the little Ball thing)not the person that steped on my pedal. We all know what we call them. Thanks, Jerry |

It is threaded at one end so you need to know the thread size and diameter. The ball at the other end has to fit into the socket joint on the pedal rod. All those dimensions have to be right.
What kind of guitar?
If it's still made I'd call the mfgr
If not I'd call Seymour or Scotty _________________ Larry Bell - email: larry@larrybell.org - gigs - Home Page

The technical term for them is "ball studs". Most large machining houses carry them.

Of course, you can buy them from a steel vendor, and they already know what size you need! |

George L calls them "Ball Joint" for$6 You get the ball that goes in the pedal and the part with the spring in it that fits the rod. if You only need the ballpart (like I did a couple of weeks ago) just save the other part if it brakes in the future. _________________ Carter S10DB, Sho.Bud Pro-1, Mesa/Boogie stereorig |

I had one break on a Sho-Bud once, back before the internet was around, living in Wyoming at the time.
For a quick fix I found a screw with the right threads and length, and filed down the screw head 'till it fit into the rod end.
I got a new one from Sho-Bud on lower Broadway on a visit to Jeff Newmans school in July '82. |

My break was on my old MSA, circe 1982, and in desperation, I went to Six-Points Hardware here in Phoenix. Having no idea what the piece was called, I gave them a rambling monologue on where it came from and what it did.
Some seconds later the clerk showed me both the ball and the connector.
I couldn't believe I was looking at this, and that's what I said to the clerk, prefaced by a whispered known-by-all-so-unnecessary-to-print expression. |
