Another Session 400--Speaker question. As you can see in the picture of the speaker, there is what apears to be something that has settled to the bottom. What is it and how do we correct this?? The speaker has no issues--sounds tremendous!! No scratchyness, ect. Looks like this amp is joining my small arsenal. Cool

Also, This is likely the original speaker for this amp, is it 4 ohm that is stock for the Session 400?

That would appear to be the thin foam dust filter which has deteriorated and come loose. If you remove the magnet (3 hex bolts), the foam will fall out. Be sure to clean the magnet gap out well...don't want any debris in there.

It would be best to replace the foam, as it does serve to prevent large particles from entering the gap...but not sure where to get it. Maybe someone else has an idea.

If you do not clean it it will gum up and cause the speaker to drag or freeze. I prefer to use a piece of felt as a new dust inhibitor, glued on the edges in behind the screen.
