Hi lapsteelers,
in 6 years I have tabbed many songs for C6 lapsteel.
A lot of requests followed, but as time goes by, all posts go down more and more in the list of the tablature section.
Each song is a nice puzzle of how to play the melody in a flowing way, often with a second voice and essential notes of the underlying chords
(sometimes almost like a solo piece, some say).
It’s a pool of good material for beginning and medium players, so I thought: let’s post this whole list for once.
And since I've done all the songs on YouTube too, you can see and hear if it’s something for you to try and learn. Just do a search there with “title” and “farroach” !
And if you like one or more titles, I will send you the tablature as a PDF, together with the backing track.
Just make a donation of 4 dollar or euro for each song via Paypal on account: farroach.tabs@gmail.com
Add the desired title(s) and don’t forget your e-mail address !
Regards, Bert.

I've been playing lap steel guitar for about 7 years now. I depend on the musical talents of others to figure out how to play a song and then tab it out. If it wasn't for Bert, I imagine my playlist would look pretty pathetic. About a third of my performance repertoire is Bert's arrangements with backing tracks. And he gave them all away for free. It's good to see he's added a small charge to it now and hopefully it will be worth his while to do this generous act. Let me add that they are all beautiful arrangements of timeless songs. Bert Farroach, I can't thank you enough! _________________ I started playing lap steel in September 2017. It's already been a long strange ride! I do keep learning! My primary guitar interests these days are Weissenborn with Open D and my lap steels with C6. |
