About a month ago, one of the bands I work with did one of the local county fairs. Right after we finished, this 6 year old boy came out with a fiddle and a rhythm guitar player borrowed from the next band. That kid stood there for a solid half-hour and ripped off one fiddle tune after another. Not the least bit bashful. They were all old tunes too, some I hadn't heard in 40 or 50 years. It was pretty obvious some old timer had taken him under his wing. Just hope the kid sticks with it. He'll be hard to hold!
