These are great cases and have been recommended a few times here on the forum. They're made by Case Technology (casetechnology.com) out of Massachusetts. I used this case for a '73 Marlen D-10 that I flew with about 20 times, including many international flights. The case is about 2 years old, but in excellent condition - which is a real testament to this case manufacturer. I sold the D-10, and bought an S-10 (along with a brand new S-10 lightweight ATA case from Case Technology), so I no longer have a use for this D-10 case.

The cases are kept lightweight by using non-recessed heavy duty latches and handles, as well as strong molded plastic instead of heavy wood.

This case has 2 heavy-duty butterfly latches, 3 handles, and wheels at one end.

See pics for dimensions.

I'm asking $165 plus shipping from Austin, TX.

-Brian

I'm not sure if you're Rains would fit. The interior dimensions are in the photo. (The photo with the dimensions is what I sent to the manufacturer when I ordered the case.)

There is 1.5" of foam on the ends, so you could probably remove 1/2" from each end if you're Rains was longer, and you could certainly add more foam, if needed.

It weighs about 25 lbs.
