Skip, I think I know Keithe Berryhill! I was his teacher for a brief time when he was first starting out. He lived in a little town just south of Memphis (Horn Lake, maybe?). After I stopped teaching, we stayed in touch for a while, but I moved and lost track of him. If it's the same guy, I'm really glad to see he stayed with the steel. I'd love to get in touch with him again. Next time you see him, ask him about his first steel teacher, and ask him to contact me. Feel free to give him my email, gtrplr@gmail.com. Thanks in advance.

Greetings Randall,
I thought you were the same fellow that i met back in the early 80's down here in Memphis. I believe you were doing some work with the Memphis Flyer ; and you bought an white Emmons p/p S-10 sat one point in time. Correct me if i'm wrong.
Keithe told me one time you were his steel teacher when he first started, asked me where you were. He's still living in Horn Lake. I know he'll be glad to get your email add. He is a good picker but had to slow up playing for a while due to health issues in his family. His work also is a hinderance ; hopefully he'll get back to playing soon. If your ever gonna be around here drop me an email, good to hear from you.----Skip

Skip, I don't remember an Emmons S-10, maybe an MSA? Seems like I had a white one of those. Anyway, it's great to hear from you. I was in Memphis from about mid '77 until '82. Lots of fun times, those were. Played with a group called Crossfire (very original, huh?) along with several others. I remember Trader Dick's on Overton Square was one of our hangouts. Keithe and I became pretty good friends, had several dinners at his house. Not sure how we managed to lose touch. I've lost touch with a lot of folks over the years that I thought were lifelong friends. Well, they're still lifelong friends, I just haven't seen 'em in 25 years! I rarely get to Memphis, just pass through every once in a while on my way to visit the in-laws in Jackson, MS. I'll have to schedule something one of these days so we can get together.

Really sorry to hear about Keithe's health issues. Hope it's nothing serious.
