Hi John,

No, it is not Jimmy. The player has been on the road with one of the greatest country stars for years. The album was actually cut by the road band and includes some great pickin' and singin'... Smile

Kind Regards, Walter

OK....its the band for Loretta Lynn with steel guitarist Dave Feeney ...Pickin Shovel is the hint lol since she grew up in the coalfields of KY and the band is called The Coal Miners.

Also.....now if this album was done back in the early seventies then the steel player would of course be Hal Rugg.

Walter,

I usually don't listen to the clips because my computer is dial-up and very slow, but I sure wish I had this time. I would have known both the tune and the player cold! its one of my favorites and I've been trying for some time to learn it. I hope you'll play more cuts from that "Coal Miners" album in the future, Bob Hempker is a great player, and he deserves to be heard.
