If anyone is interested, I have a new page on 'myspace' and as of Friday, I've uploaded a few tunes that I've been working on. All are songs I wrote. A couple are non-typical pedal steel, one is on a Tricone, and the the other is on an Oahu Diana through a little Valco. The disclaimer is; these are not final mixes.
Another could be, I don't claim to be a Hawaiian player, but call the tune "Waikiki Waltz" pseudo-Hawaiian. A bit cheeky, perhaps. Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Joe Savage www.myspace.com/jrsavage |

Joe -- great playing and really fun tunes. Oh, and nice tones, too! The Oahu through the Valco is really sweet.

We really enjoyed your Waikiki Waltz on My Space.
We also try to watch you on Midwest Country in Sandstone Minnesota every chance we get, on satelite channel 379--RFD TV.
Best wishes to all in the Midwest Country band.
You play our kind of music.
We also like Hawaiian music as well. |

Hey Joe,
Nice going on the MySpace good music. After everybody sees this, your "my friends" will become overwhwelmed, by the way how does one become your friend (myspace)? From your fan just up the road. _________________ Williams S-12,Nashville-112, VK 100 head/Justice 15" BW speaker cab, Peavey Pro-Fex II,5 guitars and a banjo |

Thanks guys. Thanks for the 'friends' requests, as well. The 'myspace' thing is a whole new world! If you check out some of the other friends sites, try Joanna Jahn's
"Little Boy Blue". Of all the songs I've played on over the years, that is one of my favorites. I'd also like to mention that on the song "Morning Coffee Funk", all the parts are played on steel, even the bass line. Hopefully the CD will be done by September. All the songs feature some type of steel; pedal, lapsteel, weissenborn or a reso. (National or dobro). I'm really pumped about getting it out. Thanks again. _________________ Joe Savage

oops. a double. Delvin, just edit them out. As far as the friends thing goes, you have to set up a space of your own and then either request to be a friend to someone, or approve someones request to be your friend. Sounds kinda silly, but what a tremendous networking opportunity. _________________ Joe Savage

Big fun, Joe -- I really enjoy your playing. Very cool approaches to making music - you've got great ideas and great tone!
The myspace thing is a brave new world, ain't it? I finally got our band's site up a couple of weeks ago after months of "well, what do I do now?" If you get a chance, check us out at myspace.com/splinterville ("Lost" and "Fleur de Lis" are my originals, the other two tunes are covers).
See ya in cyberspace!
