i have discovered a really great site that provided the clearest explaination of theory I've seen yet, but it provides great practice loops to practice what you've learned:

Pretty cool, I only jammed with some loops so far. Did you find that they 'hiccup' when they start over? Maybe it's just my ancient computer . . .

This is a great site..
I think I read that they are trying to eliminate the hiccup problem and were asking for suggestions.

Yes, he is trying to eliminate the hiccup problem according to the site. I found the theory section under learning materials to be the clearest explanation yet of scales, chords, and modes and how to improvise over top of them all. I learned a tremendous amount just last night reading the site.
