In my newsletter coming out Thursday, I touch on some of the great "Chalker" non-pedal history with Bill Wimberly, Lefty Frizell, Hank Thompson etc.
Curly had to be the greatest, most violent, fastest and accurate non-pedal player of all time, Tone? whew, but big and different! (two Fender Bassman amps)

Yeah Bobbe!! I'll check out your news letter, and sign up.
Curly with Hank Thompson is some of my favorite non pedal material out there. Violent is almost a very good description. Balls to walls..... if you know what I mean. He comes out of the gates full force, and does not let up till he crosses that finish line.
Thanks for turning me on to Bill Wimberly as well. Now I know of more Chalker non pedal to add to my collection.
