Aaaaaalright, so here's before,(not that I have anything against Jackson pick ups but look at this hack job That pick up wasn't even centered very well);

"and now witness the power of my fully operational battle station";

I just recieved my Lollar/Aiello pick up. Whoa! all I can say is it's changed everything about this guitar.It's way brighter and definately the most powerful pick up I've ever dealt with,(I'd say almost microphonic it picks up body tapping etc). The harmonics/chimes just leap out now. I'm going to have to get used to keeping my right hand a lil more forward and I guess I won't be able to heel mute with that hand either.
But anyone out there that's in my previous position don't hesitate to upgrade. I can't sing Mr. Aiello and Mr Lollar's praises any louder. What a clean machine they make!!
Now I have to fill in those unsightly screw holes. Any filler ideas? I didn't like working with that pc7 epoxy, plus color wise it won't match the bakelite.
Anyway a big Thanks goes out to Jason and Rick!!!

I've coined the term ... Vibrophonic ... to describe this phenomenon.

"Microphonics" are generally associated with loose coils ... that a good "potting" will help/fix.

Jason's coils are "state of the art".

What you are experiencing is neodymium-iron-boron is action ...

When Bobby Ingano was here ... he serenaded us with a "drum solo" at about 2 am ... using the neck, pan and magnets ... tapping hauntin' Island rhythms on my Dustpan ...

Anyway .. try Devcon "Plastic Steel" epoxy to fill those holes. It cures black and can be sanded flush with 600 grit.

Or black shoe polish ... for a less permanent fix ...
