This is a question for any owners of vintage all-tube Standels, particularly the S-80. Can anyone shed light on the correct tubes for the preamp circuit? My amp has (3) 12AX7s (replacements), and I'm going to assume that this is not correct. I would imagine there would be a 12AT7 and a 12AY7 or 12AU7 in there as well. Appreciate the help, I want my tech to get this right.

OK, got a reply from Danny McKinney. He said 12AX7 12AX7 and 6BQ7A as phase splitter.
