I think the song is called "The Anchor Holds" we have a local guy here that sings it,,,makes your hair stand on end,,,especially when you hear the story of this guy,,had a stroke,,can barely talk,,few words at a time,,then deep breaths,,,but man he nails this song,,then gives credit where credit is due,,!!!!

Wayne,
Is this the one by Ray Boltz?

There is an older song with the very similiar title of "My Anchor Holds".

Sonny, The Choris goes like this "The Anchor holds though the ship is batterd The Anchor holds though the sale are torn, I have fallen on my knees as I face the raging sea, But the Anchor Holds in spite of the storm"

Irv, I do not know the Singer, it may be who Sonny Says, My wife receieved it on her email a while back, I thought it would be a good PSG solo, for Church, although I know nothing of the Verses. But It must refer to Jesus. My wife forwarded it to me, [we each have our own computer and Email addresses, even though we sit across the room from each other] I'll try to forward it to you Erv I think I have your "E" address in my file. I do not have your Sonny.

Wayne,
I tabbed it out and put a copy in the mail for you yesterday. You'll have to see how you like it. I worked on it for quite a while to get a decent arrangement. Very Happy

The 1st verse goes:
I have journeyed through the long, dark night.
I've been out on life's raging sea
by faith alone, sight unknown,
yet I found His eyes were watching me.
