UPS delivered my Carter last week and I left on vacation the day after and am just now getting back. While the wife was busy I read a lot and studied chord structures.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting started and learning. I'll be asking lots of silly questions.
Oh, the folks at Carter were great to work with. |

Very nice looking guitar.
That Bud guy is starting to get the hang of making pedal steel guitars. |

Thanks for the comments folks. Right now I'm trying to figure out this Peterson tuner. I picked one of the E9th settings but I'm not really sure about what to do when tuning the pedals and knees. Guess I better read the manual. |

Hey Garry,
That's a great looking steel. Contrary to what some of the others think, you and I know that red guitars sound the best! See if you can find another player in your area to help you get started. You are already off to a good start by getting a quality, pro level guitar to being with. Good luck, and enjoy!

Just hang on for the ride. Don't let go and before you know it, you'll have it. It is worth all the work you put in it. Its like riding a bike, once you get it, enjoy the ride..... _________________ MSA Classic S-10,Zumsteel Encore

The last few days have been good. The good thing is I can tell I am making slow steady progress. It's great to start out learning something and accidentally stumble on to something else. I'm still trying to get a good mental picture of what pedal or knee is connected to what. This is great fun! |

Very nice looking Carter! Now try moving the Carter away from the wall and sitting in back of it. That should improve your playing a lot
By the way, the Hilton pedal is a nice touch. What kind of amplifier are you playing through?

Yeah, it's a little close to the wall! I'm using a Nashville 112. Getting ready to buy some headphones to practice with. |

The headphone jack is a nice touch with the Nashville 112. I use them.

Program P1 for the open strings and P2 for the pedal and knees, Just use the chart You got with Your new Carter that says "Jeff Newman, Jeffran Collage" on it, once You´ve programed Your Peterson tuner it´s just to toggle between the programs. _________________ Carter S10DB, Sho.Bud Pro-1, Mesa/Boogie stereorig |
