If you are looking for a light professional guitar which has quick responses from the pedals and levers, holds its tuning, and is easy to play, do consider this Excel. Cosmeticaly in good shape & it is mechanically sound. GLUE SMEAR IN LAST PHOTO BELOW IS NOW GONE; CLEANED IT USING ACETONE IN NAIL POLISH UPON SUGGESTION OF SEVERAL FORUM MEMBERS (Bill Hatcher, Larry Robbins, Joey Gaskins, Dave Boothroyd) .

Includes case with metal striping on all edges & has wheels which I've added. Even though the steel is light, I'm trying to protect my gimpy back. Been pleased with this guitar but need to sell it to purchase a light D-10. $1000 +$35 in the continental USA.

There is an EXTRA bellcrank not being used. I also MAY have several bellcranks and rods in the USA from my previous EXCEL but am not certain about this and won't know til I'm back.

Serial number : XL 33199 which make it a March 31, 1999 made Excel. I also think there are split tuning possibilities with this guitar since there are 10 predrilled holes on the changer above the strings. (but no small screws in them).

It is a 5 times raise and triple lower changer

Steel weighs 30 lbs and the case an additional 12 lbs for 42 lbs. total. Here is the copedant
pedals Emmons

A pedal 5th & 10 +1
B 3rd & 6th + 1/2
C 4th & 5th + 1

LKL 4th & 8th +1/2
LKR 1st & 7th + 1/2

RKL 4th & 8th -1/2
RKR 2nd -1/2 and -1
9th -1/2

I would need a deposit of $100 to hold the guitar (sent to my USA address) with $935 sent by Money Order around June 8th. Can ship June 16 or 17th when I am back in the USA. Please send further questions by email or as a Forum post. Thanks, steve t

I've added more detail about the EXCEL above. Will get the weight soon. From the maker, I'm trying to get the exact production date and whether it can accomodate splits. steve t

Thanks for the date, Jack! The hardened GLUE shown in the last photo of my Excel is NOW GONE thanks to a number of Forum members who answered my post about "removing glue from formica" in the PEDAL STEEL section of The Forum. Thanks guys, steve t

b0b, PLEASE KEEP THREAD OPEN. I believe the steel has sold (on "Devil Site"...EBAY) but I won't have the funds until mid June. Once funds are in hand, I'll send a contribution to The Forum for this sale and hopefully a few more to come over summer. Thanks,
steve t
