I know this topic has been addressed to some length in a post sometime in 2005 or 2006.
I don't recall the date or who was the author of the original post.
I remember reading with interest all of the replies and explanation in detail that was truly helpful I'm sure to many beginners on the pedal steel as to what the difference is and how to tune both designs.
I have tried to retrieve the post from the archives to print out to use as a help to any beginner with tuning of the pedal steel with no luck at all.
So, would the original author of the post or someone who remembers it's basic content please re-post for any newby to read and hopefully, they will print a copy for reference.? I think I made a copy but if I did I have misplaced it. I know it is very helpful.
Thanks.

Hello Lee,
Thanks very much for the link to the push/pull set-up info. Very informative and helpfull indeed, especially to those like myself lacking knowledge of the proper procedure.
The article was great for push pull info but naturally did not address tuning procedures for an all pull.
I.E the difference in the two, and the procedure required to tune all pull guitars as was in the post I referred to that was sometime in either 2005 or 2006.
Do you, (or anyone) know of an article or site that address's all pull tuning?
Thanks.

Hey Ron,
Thank you so much for the web link to the Carter site.
That info just about answers any question a fellow might have and will certainly be a boone to any beginner and a very helpful guide for any steeler with a tuning problem or maintenance question.
A guy can't go very wrong following that advice and instruction.
Hats off to Bud Carter & crew for making it available, and to you helpful forum members with your advice and opinions and the fine group at the Steel Guitar Forum.
