I really like the sound of Dm (iv) at the first fret (A pedal) sliding to E7 (V7) at the 3rd fret (F lever). However the songwriter I work with loves using this change going from Dm (A Bass) to Dm (B bass) then to E7.

Does anyone know of a way to get from:
A D F A to B D F A on strings 3456 or does anyone have a pedal that does this change combined with the A pedal?
I guess it would need a knee that raises string 6 a whole tone and only that. According to Wikipedia this is called a Tristan chord because Richard Wagner used it on Tristan and Isolde. Anyone know Wagner's copedant? Very Happy
Thanks Matt

Matt - If you are playing an E9/B6 Uni, you should have a pedal or knee-lever that raises your 5th and 6th strings one step. That will provide you with the notes you are looking for. It probably won't be easy to jump from pedal to pedal smoothly, though.

Thanks Lee! that did not occur to me because normally I only use that pedal with my Eb knee (B6 mode).
If I have Pedal A depressed, then pedal 7 indeed just raises string 6 a tone (string 5 already being raised). It involves 2 feet on the pedals but is exactly what I need! I'll try it tonight. Thanks.

I'm going through the same process on my U12. Using 2 feet is sometimes needed, but it opens up a lot of doors. The Uni is THE best.
