I just got two peavey 112s and wonder what the best way to run two is as far as connecting them is there a way where you can use just one preamp and the power amp and speakers out of both amps. Im not really interested in a stereo affect but Im more interested in just getting more headroom out of the two amps. I would think the best way would be to put both amps side by side actually touching each other which would give you almost the same thing as as cabnet with two twelves. I would appreciate the input from some of you that use two of these

My set up for using both my 112's is: Guitar, vp, RV-3,using both outputs, with amp's on stands about 4' apart, angled slightly inward.

that way if you want to turn up dont you have to turn up both amps it seems it would be hard to keep both of them at the same volume I havent tried it though I thought if there was a way to just use one preamp it would be nice unless you are wanting a stereo affect thanks for your input

If you don't want stereo, just go pre out on one amp to power amp in on the other. If you want stereo, I'd suggest running from the Send on one Pre EQ patch to the Return on the other. If you have trouble evening out the volume between the amps and you're looking for max headroom, keep the post gain on 10 and adjust the pre gain to suit your volume. It's noisier, but it gives the headroom you're probably looking for.

If you want a nice thick sound, use a volume pedal with 2 outputs and run one output straight to an amp & run the other output through a delay pedal & into the amp.

It will be thick!!!

As I just Replied to the Post “favorite effects hook-ups”, I run from my volume-pedal to my AD–9 Analog Delay Mix-Out to the Input of a BOSS CH–1 Super~Chorus and then run one cord from there to Amp. #1 and one cord to Amp. #2. This gives you Reverb & Delay in both amps. plus Stereo~Chorus, but; you'll have to use both complete amplifiers. If you're not at all interested in the Stereo aspect, just run like you normally would to amp. #1 and then on the rear of each amp. use the pre~amp. OUT from #1 to the power-amp. IN of #2 and set both Masters on 10!
