Can this be, something from Guitar Center reasonably priced? There has to be a good explanation. Looks like a different seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7337250827&category=623&rd=1

Ron. it's a blem. I think GC over priced it.
it is their M.O.

blems are usually surface flaws and not electronic.

Not a penny over $175 in my book, and it is already at $180.

No expert here, but it's only a couple of scratches on the surface. Seems worth more than the current bid.
You can always sell one of those cases for than 50 bucks, as I did, to get the price down to cheap. Isn't the tone the thing?

The price for used (newer) lap steels is real soft these days. The Chandler
RH2 is a decent instrument for $350 new, but they never seemed to hold any resale value. There was a used one at Music-go-Round for $160 that hung there for over a year before someone took it home.
Tone has very little to do with it. There are too many deals out there where $20 is the big difference. Strange times aren't they.
