A new tune by Johnny Dakota features Jerry Byrd sounding very much like a pedal steel guitar player with lots of bar action.
Of course, lot's of RIGHT HAND action too, but in this instance as in so many others, its the left bar hand that is making the sounds that the listener is hearing.
Hope you'll enjoy this educational experience.
Thanks to Forumite C.C.Johnson, I have some additional information to share with you. The Johnny Dakota tune is from an album cut about 25 years ago in Bradley's Barn in Nashville. It's on Rodeo Records and each cut is truly worthy of your time to listen.
Thanks C.C. for your help.

Ray, you sure are right about it being an oldie. Even Goooogle can't find anything on Johnny Dakota. Sure is a nice rendition though. By the way, I like Jerry's version of "Pareu Mutumutu" too. I found the original by Alain Mottet & His Tahitian Band, Torn Pareu 1957 The Beat of Tahiti, Criterion Records. Here's the MP3 of it: http://www.streamload.com/rscheil/beatoftahiti/PareuMutumutu.mp3

Hey Brad, I live in San Francisco also. I have been looking for someone who might be able to teach me how to play. Kris
