It's definitely a Gibson knob, but what year I'm not sure. It could have been put on anything from a Gibson electric guitar to a Gibson electric solid body banjo. I remember the Gibson ES-125 I had back in the early 50's had the "flaired" knobs on it. I think these knobs are still being sold here in the states. Check out Elderly Instruments, or Stewart-Macdonald on line. Also Allparts might have them too. Good luck. |

Ron,
Gruhn refers to these as "Bonnet" knobs. They were made in various forms from "55 into the 70's. Best guess on these is mid to late 60's. |

Ron, I have those knobs on my epiphone sorento natural. Guitar is a single mini humbucker,single cutaway, archtop, thinline semi acoustic. I bought this guitar new in 1961. This is when epiphone was made in Kalamazoo Michigan. |
