Where is it?

I'm a reformed guitar player and I'm looking for a particular run on my new Carter D10 E9 neck (3 pds &5 knees) and so far I haven't been able to stumble across it. The run that I'm looking for is going from the major chord to the major 6th chord to the major 7th chord. I hear it all the time and thought the run would be easier to find than it has been. Any help out there?
