The folks at MSA really did their homework. The design elements and workmanship are absolutely superb. The color and finish are stunning. The tone and sustain are beautiful. Well done everyone at MSA!

Yes. It arrived Monday. It's red mahogany with a tortoise pick guard. I suppose I should have mentioned that in the original post.

Hola Jeremy from Barcelona. Say hello to Raquel Cabanillas Comino for me. My wife and I were her "American Parents" for 2 weeks. Now, back to the forum.

I have been using an A6 tuning on an 8 string guitar. This tuning was recommended to me by Reece. I'll try to post a picture as soon as I can.

I envy those going to see Reece in person play his superslide tomorrow in Tenn.

I love my 12 string SS. Now, since so many people seem to be taking up Reece's tuning, what would it take to persuade him to develop some teaching materials around it?

Astounding! That is what a "Super Slide" is. But then, you almost have to see it to understand that this steel guitar is so incredible that it is almost a different musical instrument! Amazing what quality can do!
It must be great, It even makes me sound good! (so my dogs say)

Hi Bill, I am a newbie to the steel guitar. I took Bobbe Seymours' advice and bought a six string MSA Superslide in emerald green. Wow is spot on. The craftmanship and finishing is stunning. Great tone and sustain. And best of all, it is easier to play and the action is so smooooth. Not going to chase vintage Ricks and Gibsons anymore. No sir. My only complaint is that it doesn't say: MADE IN THE USA.

Hi Kris,
Thanks for the kind words. I knew something was missing... SuperSlide is 100% USA (about 95% Dallas, Texas). You can rest assured your suggestion is taken to heart. I will see to it that we add a decal with that on it.

Kris - I just received my Freedom Stand for my SuperSlide this morning. That's an impressive little item also. Nicely engineered. I talked to Kyle Bennett on the phone this afternoon and the "MADE IN USA" decal project is already under way. Maybe they'll send each of us one.

Hey Bill, I have the Freedom Stand but no legs yet. Kyle says any day now. I am also waiting for the hard case to become available, but you know what, the Superslide fits quite nicely in my Gibson BR4 case and I know that fits in the overhead compartment of airlines.
