It's been far too long but finally, [/b]The JERRY BYRD Fan Club is back up and running!

It's been one of the most terrible experiences I've yet encountered in life. The computer slowed to a crawl and ultimately started turning on and off. Over 130 viruses had impacted my unit. And, no way to shut off the offending intruders.

They recently arrested some guy from Seattle and Southern Oregon and described him as being one of the top-10 computer criminals.......spammer or whatever.

Now, after two and one half weeks of slugging it out with the bugs, I've just checked in and the tunes are up and running without difficulty, for some of us, that is.

New tunes will go on as soon as I can figure out how to apply some new installation software. Hopefully, you'll all bear with me until I learn the new steps.

Pick up a, Symantec, " Norton Internet Security " CD 2007
at wal-mart , and you will not have that problem

It blocks Add's , Spams. Viruses, scans all incoming,
and outgoing email, keeps a log in stats of all things you do. The Program is about 59 Bucks for a year's subscription, but well worth it.

Herbie: I truly appreciate the suggestion you were thoughtful enough to contribute.

My Internet Provider "ComCast" provides several anti virus thingies; Firewall, etc., and I have also employed MacAfee.

The bug that was inserted into my machine was untouchable. I had two different respected guru's working on it but it took me out inspite of all our efforts. "Clean Sweep" that arrived as a pop-up, I do believe was the host. BEWARE!

THANKS again.

Ray,

I think all of us, at one time or another, has had the virus "Scurge" hit our computers....and no, it isn't easy to get rid of these parasites. Evil Twisted

Whether you know it or not, slowly and inexorably, you are becoming an advanced Computer guy!! Rolling Eyes

Thank you, on our behalf for your perseverance as you go through these shocks. Shocked

Now, back to Jerry Byrd and his wonderful music....Jerry B. was lucky to have you as his friend. Very Happy TX

Rgds,

Ron
